Old Friend 500

Manchester The Grand apartment 500

A loyal friend - apartment 500 at The Grand in Manchester has served me well for the past 2 years. Packing up and clearing this place brought back many memories for me; thus this is a special place for me. I've never felt so much for a place before, so I hope 500 will stand strong for many more years to come.

Everything has to come to a close at certain point in time, and I've reach the time to move on to another place and another chapter of my life. Do you have such a place in your life that you have feelings for? Happy Smiley

You are moving from one home to a new one. It is nice you have some good memories in 500. ;-)

I love most of the places that I have lived but I've moved so many times its easier to be less attached. Opps! Smiley
Looks like you have kept your place very nice!
I like your round light.

Oh ya, I was reluctant to leave my previous place where I had stayed for over 10 years. And I missed those nice, friendly neighbours that I had. It took me awhile to get used to our current new place.

In my late twenties I left a place that was like that for me. I've lived in my current house for almost 28 years so I shudder to think what it will be like if I ever sell it and move.

I think most transitions are difficult. At least you have memories and photos of 500!

Yes, I missed the old National Library with the red bricks. It was one of my favourite place that I visited during my childhood and around my neighbourhood at St. Michael's Estate when it was not so developed, we would run to a small hill slope and roll down...lol. The small hill is gone now and I believe had become part of the CTE.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Happy Smiley

J.C.: 10 years is a long time. You must really had feelings for the place.

Carver: Your place must have a lot of memories.

Alicesg: I miss old National Library too. I think the red bricks makes the building stand out and I remembered the interior flooring was beautiful too. I was sad when they pulled it down.
